Paris Photo Shoot Location Guide

Hi babes,

I wanted to do this separately from my main Paris travel guide, because I really wanted to break some things down and share information that content creators would be interested in, but not people going simply for vacation.

In order to prepare and be as efficient as possible, I created a powerpoint (yes, it’s the Capricorn in me) with every outfit and the location I wanted it at.

TIPS:

  • We would take 2-3 outfits in a tote in addition to the outfits we were wearing

  • Plan your locations that are next to each other to make it easier

  • How we shot:

    • Shoot outfit 1

    • Go to a nearby coffee shop and buy a coffee and use the bathroom to change

    • Shoot outfit 2

    • Go to a different coffee shop and buy a water + croissant and use the bathroom to change

    • Shoot outfit 3

    • We typically end on the outfit that we would wear for the day

  • The earlier the better

    • It’s definitely hard to not get people in the shot, but it’s doable

    • Street shots: we went at 8am

    • Eiffel tower at night: 12am (midnight) - 1am is the best time just be safe and aware of your surroundings.

  • Lighting

    • We liked to shoot in the morning light

    • The evening light is also very good

      • The only thing to remember is that the sun sets pretty late in the summer (it doesn’t get dark until 11pm)

    • During the day, the light is so harsh, so we did all our fun activities during the day

LOCATIONS: (click the photo to see my Instagram post)

Eiffel Tower

  • right in front (at night) - Pont D’iena

The Louvre (at night)

  • We would get kicked out around 11:45pm and it gets dark at 11pm so you don’t have that long so plan ahead!

Ave de Camoens

  • A few different vantage points so you can bring a few outfits. There’s a flower shop near by if you want a prop.

Rue de l’Universite

  • GET HERE EARLY! We went at 8am. It starts to get busy by 9am and evenings are the worst.

  • We shot here ALOT! You can get the eiffel tower in the shot, or just use the aesthetic walls.

Palais Royal

  • This has the black & white stumps. Very aesthetic

Cafe Kitsune (near Palais Royal)

  • SO CUTE! Love the casual vibe

Versailles Hall of Mirrors

  • Again, GET HERE EARLY! We got there at 9am and it worked out. Any later and you will have tons of people in your photos

Moloko (sign that says “sorry mum, I’m in Paris”)

  • Restaurant that turns into a club with the iconic sign

Polene store (a vibe)

  • A very aesthetic store

Cafe shot sitting outside

  • Any cafe can be so cute. Try to sit outside!

Cafe de Flore

  • Iconic but gets busy. Get there as early as possible!

Side streets are very aesthetic

  • Just walking around, we found so many cute streets that weren’t very busy.

Ave Montaigne (all the designer stores)

  • My favorite street to shoot with the designer stores in the background

Rent an Airbnb with a beautiful balcony view

  • We really wanted an iconic balcony so we rented THIS airbnb even though it was kinda far from everything

Hopefully this post helps you find locations that match your IG aesthetic and gives you ideas of where to visit!

Xx, Allysa
