Holiday shopping is here & today is SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY! Ever since becoming a small business owner, I have become an even bigger advocate of shopping local & small. Yes, I get that no one can really beat amazon’s prices, but think about how you’re supporting someone’s dream and when you order, I promise, you put the biggest smile on their faces!
Since moving to San Diego, I have met so many amazing business owners (big & small) and it is such a supportive community. I challenge you to shop small this holiday season & support someone’s dream.

My business: Summer Buns

If you don’t know, I started my own hair accessory company called Summer Buns. I carry the cutest pearl hair clips, silk scrunchies, headbands & a few other fun accessories. I have always wanted to start my own business / work for myself. Since I am a full time blogger, I also wanted to be able to generate another source of income as well. I am so happy that I have been able to do this and grow this little business of mine and could not do this without the support of my customers.

Swirl Boutique
They have 3 locations: Encinitas, Carlsbad & San Clemente. The owner, Lisa Landers, is a boss babe and mentor and carries the cutest lines. Some of my favorites are: Lani the label, Mother denim, Astr the Label & so much more. Lisa is also known for throwing the best parties
Van De Vort
This boutique is the boho chic wardrobe that you need to have! The owner, Andrea, has the best style and carries the best brands. I love the parisian / european vibes and she also has a vintage line in her Flower Hill location. They also have a beautiful store in One Paseo.
Trendy & Tipsy
It all started with a pair of snake print boots. A year ago, I purchased these boots from this boutique and ever since then I have been obsessed. The owner, Katie, is a bad ass stylist with the best eye for vintage pieces. She puts amazing outfits together and her boutique in Pacific Beach is so cute. She carries the cutest festival clothes as well as every day wardrobe essentials. Cotton Candy LA is my favorite brand she has. She also has show me your mumu & east n west label. It’s just all so good!
Clothe & Arrow
This boutique has the cutest clothes. The owner, Brandy, curates such a fun selection & she has a ton of fun home goods and accessories. Whenever I visit Flower Hill in Del Mar, I always pop in to see what new stuff she is caring. Her store style is more of beach boho vibes and I love it!

Roses ‘n’ Rose
If your looking for a skincare line with aesthetic packaging, look no further! Chante is killing it and just released a holiday collection. Love supporting this boss babe and her rose water spray is my favorite!
Asrtd Eyewear
Asrtd Eyewear has the most stylish & affordable sunnies! They carry a range of styles from round metals to plastic cat eye frames. These are great dupes for designer brands such as Ray-Ban, YSL, Celine, etc. I love how affordable they are too!

Erin Fader
If you know me, then you know my go to jewelry is Erin Fader. Her collections are beyond amazing and her pieces are timeless. What I love the most is the quality. Her pieces are so good. I sometimes forget to take them off when I shower and none of my pieces have tarnished.
XO Hanalei
I absolutely LOVE the dainty pieces they carry. The jewelry is so simple & classic and will go with any outfit. I am obsessed with the pearl pieces and trendy bracelets. If you’re looking for a go to gift, these pieces are perfect.
Sand and Grit
I recently discovered this brand late this year and I am obsessed. She does pop ups at swirl boutique and creates the jewelry there. I have a few pieces that are my absolute favorites. The first is the Paris manhole cover pendant necklace. I also have a boyfriend chain and an ear cuff. My number one piece though is my butterfly necklace. You need to check out her collection ASAP!

Holy Matcha
If you are a matcha lover, then HOLY MATCHA is the place for you. The owner, Geraldine, is a boss babe who is truly passionate about her craft and has the most aesthetic matcha shops in SD. They have donuts, ice cream & different treats in the shop. They also have some awesome swag. If you’re in SD, be sure to support and check them out!
